Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is the National Centre for Gaelic Language and Culture. Based in Sleat on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is a vibrant Gaelic community, immersed in the language, its music, tradition and culture.

Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is the only centre of Higher and Further Education in the world that provides its learning programmes entirely through the medium of Gaelic in an immersive, language-rich environment.

Our courses range from beginners’ language courses to studying at PhD level and we deliver distance learning worldwide as well as on our campus.
